Page Enqueue

A big factor on a website’s position in a Google Search result is the speed of the page (Google PageSpeed). On of the factors that are part of the PageSpeed is unnecessary CSS being loaded on the page. For instance, if you have a product page that doesn’t have a carousel on it and the carousel CSS and JS is being loaded into the page. With a WordPress powered website, this can be a huge issue since typically a plugin’s styles and javascript will be included on every page.

To fix this issue, I created a small WordPress plugin that allows you to disable CSS and JS on a per page basis. Now on that product page the carousel CSS and JS will not be included. The plugin stores what pages you have disabled the scripts and styles on and will deregister those when a user hits the page.

The plugin is available for free.
