I wrestled high school in Indiana for Jeffersonville High Schools where I was a two time Regional Qualifier and Hoosier Hills Conference runner up. I wrestled two years for Lindenwood Belleville University, a NAIA university located in the St. Louis metro.
After college wrestling I transitioned to coaching high school wrestling for Jeffersonville High School. I started as the Junior Varsity coach and am now both the Junior Varsity and Varsity B coach (at Jeffersonville there are three squads – Varsity, Varsity B, and JV where Varsity wrestles other varsity teams in Indiana, Varsity B wrestles varsity teams in Kentucky, and JV wrestles JV in both states). In my time at Jeffersonville, we have had two state qualifiers, one wrestler ranked in the top 10 in Indiana, and 11 wrestlers signing to colleges. Both state qualifiers started their careers off wrestling Varsity B for me. We have also won our Sectional twice.
Education
I am USA Wrestling Bronze and Copper certified and currently working on becoming Silver certified. I have attended the Silver College at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs as well.
Focus
As a coach I focus on neutral wrestling, attacking, and defensive (from neutral and bottom). I really try to create a more aggressive wrestler that revolves around a fast pace and good positioning.
I also help with getting into college with wrestling. Over eight wrestlers have moved on to the college level while I’ve been at Jeffersonville and I’ve been featured on TEAM USA in an article about recruiting. I also created Wrestling Recruit.
I am available for private training. Rate will depend on the hours and the frequency… I am open to whatever you want to focus on and the training revolves around technique and live wrestling.
